Supervisor Shutdown
Fortescue Metals Group is one of the world's largest iron ore producers. Our mines, heavy haul railway and deepwater, multi-user port are located in the heart of the Pilbara - the world's best address for iron ore. Built from the ground up from grass roots exploration, we've produced and exported more than 180 million tonnes of iron ore in less than four years but we're not stopping there.
By the end of March 2013, Fortescue's transformative expansion program to increase our production to 115 million tonnes per annum will be complete. Our plans involve expanding our port and rail operations, upgrades to our existing mines and the development of our Firetail deposit at an exciting new mine called Solomon.
Reporting to the Shutdown Superintendent at our Port Operations, the Shutdown Supervisor will manage teams of maintainers and contractors in the workplace in order to control integrated shutdown schedules, such that teams can execute shutdowns within a planned environment according to Port's operational and performance requirements.
