Responsibilities include:
Schedule construction projects in logical steps and budget time required meeting deadlines.
Determine labour requirements and necessary workers/specialists to construction sites.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other local and international regulations.
Participate in contracts negotiations, revisions, changes to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Obtaining all necessary pre-construction permits and licences together with other related statutory departments and offices.
Select, contract and oversee workers who complete specific phases of the project.
Prepare and submit weekly progress reports and cost tracking reports from construction site/s to the company management and clients.
Develop and implement quality control programmes.
Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site/s.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
Plan, organise and direct activities concerned with the construction, upgrade and conversions of fleet, facilities and systems.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost effectiveness of plans.

We are now seeking expressions of interest from junior through to senior level environmental specialists and advisors to facilitate the delivery of upcoming projects across Australia. You will possess the skills and attributes to develop and maintain strong working relationships with operations personnel and be confident in delivering training and advice when required to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance. As a minimum, all candidates shall maintain a professional presence in the field and office, facilitating environmental awareness and training sessions where required, develop and review internal processes, liaise with key project stakeholders and perform monitoring and area inspections.

• Analysing operational and environmental monitoring data to ensure compliance with legal and other obligations
• Identifying and recommending environmental improvement opportunities for implementation;
• Providing input and technical guidance when dealing with environmental incidents and events;

About you:

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in environmental sciences
• Experience working in Construction, Energy & Chemicals, Mining or Minerals sectors
• Sound knowledge of key concepts, theories and practices related to the control of environmental related risks
• Previous experience in environmental management and application to the minerals or chemical industries desirable
• Strong analytical and critical assessment skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
