Media Operations Project Manager IPG Mediabrands - London, United Kingdom

Job Description

Summary:
 
The Project Manager is responsible for directing, managing and executing the overarching project plan for the global implementation of Mediatools (media planning software) across Mediabrands agencies and multiple client teams (Initially scoped for 3-4 markets across EMEA). This is a hands-on Project Management role, requiring a person to be detailed oriented and action-focused with strong time-management, communication, organizational skills. The role requires an individual who will ensure completion of project timelines ensuring consistency with company strategy and goals.
 
Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, resolving problems, assisting in audits of media planning process and identifying process trends
  • Create and execute a detailed project plan, manage transition/change management plans and project closure documentation
  • Successfully manage and deliver multiple deadlines as they relate to the global Mediatools rollout within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost
  • Create communication plans and lead status reports with Media Operations, Workhorse and media teams 
  • Manage media team and vendor (Workhorse) relationships appropriately
  • Work with leads from each media team and direct/motivate/manage them to effective and timely completion of work
  • Manage multiple deliverables across various departments (i.e. media, technology, operations, finance, etc.)

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable project management experience with a solid track record of results
  • Excellent at project planning, communication and team building.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and dependability. Able to prioritize and manage critical deliverables in fast paced working environment.
  • A collaborative problem-solver
  • Strong sense of natural curiosity to study a problem,  identify root causes and make logical connections/ conclusions from scattered data
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to articulate results and recommendations of analysis to a variety of audiences within the organization (for example laterally across peers, and upward to Senior Management)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors.
  • Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Project Server, Project Professional, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to travel (on occasion).
  • The ideal candidate has experience in a project management role, a Bachelor degree in related field and relevant certification in project management (PMI certification)
  • Background and experience with a media agency is a plus
