Job Description:
Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplinary firm of consulting environmental scientists and engineers with offices throughout the world. We are seeking a Mine Engineer-Project Mining Engineer to join our Golden office and become an integral member of our team. Experience: • 3 to 8 years relevant mine engineering experience. • Integration of geologic information to produce mineable resources and reserves estimates. • Open pit and/or underground mine design, planning, and analysis. • Equipment selection and mine scheduling. • Capital and Operating engineering cost estimation. • Reclamation and closure planning experience. • Previous consulting engineering experience is desired with demonstrated strong organization skills. • Knowledge of applicable regulations related to mine permitting and environmental compliance programs. • Computer geologic modeling, dragline range diagram, mine modeling and mapping. Job Requirements : Skills Requirements: • Candidate shall possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Project and/or task management skills highly desirable. • Strong computer skills in ore reserve estimation and mine planning is required. • Understanding of international resource and reserve reporting standards is required. • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is essential. • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively under general supervision. • Experience with Mincom Minescape, Maptek Vulcan, ArcGIS, Whittle and similar software desirable. Degree Requirements: BS or MS in mining or geological engineering or similar. Professional registration as an EIT or PE, or demonstrated effort towards obtaining such, is desired.
