The opportunity

We are looking for a Supervisor Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) – Drill based at our iron ore Nammuldi open pit development, to supervise repairs and ongoing issues related to drills as well as liaise with the Production department.

Currently undergoing a below-water-table development, Nammuldi will be introducing the world’s largest deployment of Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) and play a pivotal role in Rio Tinto’s substantial growth plans across the Pilbara.

What the role entails
 
This position is a great opportunity for an individual to work effectively and efficiently within a large maintenance team in a rapidly expanding mine. Working on a fly in fly out roster (8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on and 7 days off) and reporting to the Support Superintendent - MEM, you will be:
  • Ensuring that schedules and plans are timely completed and adhered
  • Completing the requirements related to data collection and recording
  • Ensuring that health and safety measures are effectively followed within the team
  • Managing and developing team performance 
  • Enabling the Superintendent to lead the team safely and efficiently whilst undertaking a range of support activities
What you will need for this role:

To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:
  • A Western Australia “C” class driver’s licence
  • Experience with drills such as Cubex, SKS and Pit Vipers
  • Experience in a maintenance environment
A Mechanical or an Electrical trade background along with knowledge of SAP and maintenance principles will be desirable but not essential.

We offer you a family friendly 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on and 7 days off roster commuting from Perth, Albany, Busselton, Geraldton, other regional and interstate locations for eligible employees.
