Maintenance Planner

John Holland's Rail business delivers project management, engineering, construction and maintenance services to the public and private railway sectors throughout Australia and internationally.

We specialise in the development, design, construction, testing and commissioning, maintenance, asset management and operations of transport, mining, metro, regional and heavy haul railway infrastructure. A core part of the East Coast Rail business is the maintenance, renewal and upgrade of fixed infrastructure assets of railway including track, bridges, culverts and wayside level signalling equipment.

Rail Australia is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our East Rail Business which has operations spanning Victoria, NSW and QLD. This role will be based in either our Vic or NSW rail office and report to the Maintenance Manager.

Key responsibilities of the role:

· Managing the Asset Life Cycle Planning Strategy for the John Holland Rail East Coast Plant Services Division.

· Implementing an effective and achievable Preventative Maintenance (PM) Plan for Rail East Coast Assets.

· Monitoring and measuring the execution of the plan through setting PM targets and effective communication methods with Maintenance Managers and Supervisors.

· Raising and approving of all Work Orders for planned preventative maintenance work.

· Driving a planning culture across the JHG Rail Plant Services business based on best practice and with a proactive focus on risk management and SQE.

· Provide frequent reporting of planned work of KPI's to ensure the effectiveness of planned maintenance activities and the equipment management systems across all Rail East Coast Projects.

· Create a culturally aware, engaged, competent and high performance team and encourage ownership to support a successful workplace culture.

We are seeking applications from candidates with tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction or Planning, relevant experience in planning process and managing planning for major projects / tenders, proven skills in implementing a planning process and product system audits, demonstrated people management and financial management skills.
