Description: KPMG’s Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues — managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs — that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Services are specialized to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. We are currently seeking a Manager in Financial Management for our Management Consulting practice to join us in our Chicago office.

Responsibilities:* Manage various data project tasks including current state information gathering, analysis and documentation
* Develop and document business requirements through client interviews, re-engineer business processes based on future state, facilitate the evaluation, selection, and implementation of data systems
* Recommend technology direction and implementation decisions based on experience, data, and banking industry best practices
* Manage teams implementing business process or technology changes for financial services clients
* Engage in project management activities such as project planning, fees/expense management, resource planning, status reporting, and risk and issue tracking
* Engage in business development activities by performing market research, creating company profiles, analyzing industry trends, and assisting with project proposals
Qualifications:* Five years of experience in a consulting role, preferably with a national or global management consulting firm, with two years of experience with banking institutions
* Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university; MBA or advanced degree from an accredited college/university preferred
* Experience as a developer on a data warehouse implementation team; experience in a lead role preferred
* Demonstrated experience in project management of medium- to large-scale data implementations, related process reengineering and workflow design, requirements definition, or other implementation work
* Ability to manage implementation efforts related to resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections
* Experience in the management of business and technology change (governance) and change management process design
