Job Description

The Travis Perkins Group is currently seeking to appoint 2 Property Acquisition Managers looking to make their next career move and join our busy Group Property Acquisitions Department, taking responsibility for our South East region.

This is a demanding role within a dynamic and active property team which has delivered over 200 openings in the last three years. You will work with companies across the TP Group developing strategy, acquiring new premises (both retail stores and merchant branches), providing advice and recommendations to senior management on all acquisition and development matters.

You will be expected to effectively manage, plan and control the acquisition process from site identification to opening, including negotiating for freehold and leasehold opportunities and promoting the companies and their requirements within the property market.

Alongside this you will be the key contact for one or more of the companies ensuring excellent lines of communications are maintained between all contacts.

Desired Skills & Experience

You must be a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with 3-5 years PQE and ideally have experience of the retail and industrial markets in the UK. You must be able to work on your own initiative and have the experience, knowledge, skills and contact base to enable us to secure new sites ahead of our competitors.

Your skill set will include an excellent understanding of landlord and tenant legislation and the planning system, with the ability to work with external consultants together with an understanding of capital expenditure appraisals.
