Arrium Mining, part of Arrium Mining and Materials, is a fast-growing iron ore mining business. Last year we doubled our export capacity and started producing iron ore from our Coober Pedy operations, as well as continuing operations at our existing mine sites. Situated in Coober Pedy and reporting directing to the mining manager this role is responsible for the development and maintenance of the mine plan and schedule whilst ensuring that all mine activities are conducted in accordance with our strict safety regulations. Your other responsibilities will include Co-ordinating the daily production activities associated with delivering the Mining Capacity Plan and incompliance with our contractor.
Ideally, you are already working in a surface mining operation or have done so in the past. Experience in Iron Ore is advantageous, coupled with engineering qualifications in mining being essential. We need a strong leader with well developed interpersonal skills to manage the competing demands of this critical function.
