Skye Recruitment are representing a global gold miner are currently seeking a Senior Mining Engineer for their well known WA underground operation in Kalgoorlie.
This will be a residential position working on a 5/2 roster.

This is an owner operated site and is the perfect opportunity to enhance your career and move swiftly into management within the industry.
You will be key to the success of the company and will have a wide scope of responsibility.

Reporting to the Tech Services Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering robust rolling 12 week and 1 week production and development schedules.
  • Monitoring/tracking of key activities that drive the 12 week schedule to ensure budget production is delivered.
  • Ensuring that drill & blast designs are safe and efficient.
  • Providing mentorship to two drill & blast engineers.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor of Mining Engineering Degree
  • 7+ Years Experience
  • 2+ years experience at a Senior level
  • Experience in UG Drill & Blast and Longterm Planning
  • Good Observation Skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment
  • Good working knowledge of underground mining cycle and procedures
  • Experience in Vulcan
