Australia Pacific LNG is Australia's leading coal seam gas (CSG) producer and is a joint venture between Origin, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec.
Australia Pacific LNG is developing a multi©\billion dollar, world©\class CSG to LNG (liquefied natural gas) export project comprising of three main facets:
  1. Developing the Walloons gas fields in the Surat Basins in south central Queensland
  2. Building and operating a LNG facility at Curtis Island, Gladstone; and
  3. Constructing and operating a gas transmission pipeline to connect the fields to the Curtis Island LNG facility for export to the Asian energy market. Australia Pacific LNG has engaged Leighton Contractors to install the gas gathering systems associated with approximately 600 CSG wells in the Condabri and Talinga/Orana gas field development, referred to as the Australia Pacific LNG Upstream Phase 1 Project.

Based 20km south of Miles, the APLNG Gas Gathering Upstream Phase 1 Project is a $450m contract, and includes:
  • Installing more than 1,200km of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) welded water and gas pipes
  • Installing 1,730km of fibre optic and power cabling (high and low voltage)
  • Installing equipment for 600 well heads
  • Undertaking pneumatic and hydrostatic testing; and
  • Reinstating the Right of way
Works are expected to continue through until April 2015 and covers a number of fields within the Surat and Bowen Basin areas of Queensland.
We are currently seeking an experienced Material Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Materials & Supply Manager, responsibilities will include:
  • Managing material issue and receipt on materials data base i.e., SmartPlant
  • Managing lay down and warehouse space allocations
  • Inventory management
  • Analysing usage and allocation of materials
  • Verifying materials against MTO
  • Liaising with Engineers, lay down staff
  • Procurement
  • Expediting
  • Logistics'
The ideal candidate will have the 2-3 years material controller experience on oil/gas projects or 3-5 years working in warehouse management.
