Job Description

Expanding US automotive company is seeking a Sr. Cost Analyst to assist in leading cost accounting for their Sao Bernardo do Campo and operation. Position will be responsible and involved on financial reporting, day-to-day accounting supervision, budgeting, forecasting and planning. This position is in a fast-track growth for a Controller position.

Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with the manufacturing scenarios in conjunction with operation and sales.
• Assist controller in preparation of forecasting and budgeting.
• Establish and maintain product pricing and costs in computer system, audit BOM accuracy.
• Participates and tracks VA/VE, Cost Reductions, Six Sigma projects, LTA cost improvements.
• Administer price and cost information to establish good records as a foundation for future estimates.
• Provide support to sales department to negotiate pricing or price changes with customers.
• Attends engineering meeting and coordinates engineering changes of the product through the costing process.
• Produces all reporting necessary for month end closing, completes monthly standard journal entries, calculates labor variance and completes related entries, confirms COGS accuracy.
• Prepares daily indicators for daily staff meetings. Assists department managers in analysis of data.
• Assist in establishing labor, freight, material and overhead standards and performs variance analysis monthly.
• Assists in taking physical inventories, completes necessary cost rolls in product cost system, completes corporate required reports relating to inventory at year end.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 5-7 years of experience especially in Cost Accounting for a manufacturing company.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and
• Productive activities profitability analysis.
• Strong excel background
• Bilingual English and Portuguese
