An opportunity has arisen to join one of the market leaders in Iron Ore. With operations across WA they have a strong position as one of the world's market leaders. Due to an ongoing work load currently require a mine production engineer to join on an existing operation in the Pilbara region.

As production engineer you will be responsible for creating designs for development and production mining activities, and ensure optimum, economic and safe extraction of ore. You will undertake production reporting as well as identify and undertake projects to ensure continuous improvement of the operation. Liaison with other engineering teams and the mining contractor is also an aspect of the role.

The successful candidate will have mine production experience in open pit operations and be degree qualified. You will have proven experience in an open pit mining engineering role and preferably 4 years + in a similar role. A WA Quarry managers Certificate is advantageous though not essential. Experience on Vulcan software is also advantageous.

In return a salary of $120-140k + Super is offered, though more may be negotiated for exceptional candidates, along with a generous holiday entitlement and benefits package. Site conditions are excellent with a full range of facilities including gym, foxtel and internet.
