Job Description

This position is responsible for project management for the assigned national service line consulting leader(s) . This includes providing oversight and management of assigned projects throughout the year as well as the day-to-day operations of the national consulting group. Responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to, working closely with the assigned National Service Line Leader (NSLL) by providing practice management for the service and completion of project assignments in the knowledge management area. It also requires interfacing with the key internal client service departments of finance, LPD, marketing and the MDC in the execution of key deliverables as required.

Project management
- Completes assigned projects with minimal oversight; consistently delivers high quality work on time; reviews own work and the work of others prior to completion
- Continually identifies, assesses, monitors and communicates the issues and risks of a project to the appropriate stakeholder
- Projects will be assigned through interfacing with key internal client service areas:
- Finance team
-Generate monthly financial reports as requested
-Perform first level review and analysis of financial and operating information
-Coordinate on behalf of the operations director and NSLL the process of forecasting financial performance
- Learning & Professional Development (LPD)
-Coordinate business support of LPD planning activities
-Coordinate in collaboration with HR national certification rosters and enhanced training requests
-Liaison with key SMEs in the assigned service line to coordinate and execute significant training programs such as the annual FAS Conference; represent the NSLL and / or NSLL HR liaison in meetings regarding LPD when requested
- Marketing
-Coordinate with assigned marketing represetative to implement national marketing campaigns
-Coordinate business support of marketing planning activities
- McGladrey Delivery Center
Work in concert with MDC operations team to improve McGladrey's ability to successfully integrate the MDC into service delivery to US clients in assigned service line and others as reguested by MDC Ops

Service line practice management
- Manage and prepare leadership meetings and provide the following:
-Preparation of meeting agenda
-Documenting meeting minutes
-Creation and distribution of action items
-Leadership role in managing action items and collaboration with responsible parties to drive timely closure of action item commitments
- Coordination of Career Advisor performance management responsibilities of the NSLL in liaison with regional HR contacts
Monitor national SL practice compliance with critical HR activities/responsibilities such as: goal setting, performance reviews, CPE compliance; provide necessary reports and recommendations to NSLL and CS Ops leader

Knowledge management
Work closely with the Knowledge Director - National Consulting to coordinate the FAS Practice's support for the improvement and maintenance of the FAS Knowledge Management portal

Other duties as assigned or necessary for line of business and/or office supported.

Minimum Qualifications

- Minimum of five years experience working with management level individuals.
- Minimum of five years experience working in a professional services firm; consulting preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in supervising an administrative or office services team
- Bachelor degree required
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, particularly excel, word, power point, and Outlook
- Financial analysis experience
- Applies technical/procedural requirements of the position based on knowledge and experience within specialization
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to process financial information for reasonableness and accuracy.
- Ability to supervise and review the results of projects or assignments
- Ability to train, mentor and provide guidance and feedback to other team members
- Ability to work autonomously and exhibit a professional demeanor to internal and external clients; proactively manages customer and vendor expectations
- Required to effectively communicate across all levels; knows audience and adapts appropriately, effective facilitation/presentation skills and strong listening skills
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; works well with a variety of work styles, able to handle difficult conversations with members of team and create "win-win" solutions for those involved
- Shows motivation and initiative to learn and grow beyond project work and shares knowledge with team and applies past experiences and lessons learned to new situations
- Required to keep abreast of what is taking place in the practice in order to update and inform the Service Line Consulting Leader as necessary
- Required to have a strong commitment to the national consulting practice and the assigned service line.
- Ability to support and assist with change implementation
