If you are a Lead Ruby on Rails Developer with managerial experience, please read on!

Based out of Boston, MA, we are a well-funded, hot media and technology startup! Our company drives media value for sporting events, sponsors and participants through a revolutionary event photography and video social platform. We are seeking to hire a Lead Ruby on Rails Developer who can take our company to the next level!

What you need for this position:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of deep hands on Ruby on Rails experience (will train candidates with experience in other technologies (PHP, .NET)
- Must have Framework experience- Rails (preferred), Symfony, Zend acceptable
- Extensive experience with: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, JSON
- Development experience with PostgreSQL
- Cloud experience with Heroku and Amazon Web Services
- Proven track record of developing high-value, high-quality, user-facing solutions.
- Proficiency in unit and functional testing
- Practices lean and agile development methods
- Test Driven Development and pair programming experience is a plus
- Working experience with Git is a plus
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of developers


What you'll be doing:

- Working with our 3rd party Rails development team to design, architect, code, implement and production support our Release 1.0.
- Help transition the application in-house for future development of subsequent releases.
- Develop object-oriented Ruby on Rails & front-end development for both .com and corporate sites.
- Collaborate with product managers and UI designers to develop innovative, market-leading and break-out subscriber experiences
- Provides collaboration and mentoring by leading periodic code and sprint reviews
- Provide risk assessment, development alternatives and expected technical debt in sprint meetings
- Work with founders and 3rd party developers to ensure ease-to-use, interoperability and scalability
