An opportunity has arisen with one of Australia's leading providers of mining services. They operate internationally from their Perth based head quarters and currently have numerous live operations across WA. With healthy current operations and plans to grow in the coming years they are strongly positioned within the industry. Due to ongoing expansion they currently require a senior mining engineer to work on a large operation in the Pilbara region.
Reporting to the Principal 5 Year and Life of Mine Planning, you will provide highly competent mine planning support for one of the company's Pilbara Operations with the key focus on mining activities within the 5 year to life of asset time horizon. You will be responsible for ensuring that the medium to long term future of the mine is optimally sequenced, planned and aligned with the overall business plan.
Your responsibilities will include:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and hold relevant experience within open pit operations. You will have experience in mine planning and have experience in a senior position previously. Ideally you will be degree qualified in Mining Engineering. A Western Australian C class driver's license is essential
In return a salary between $160k - $180k + Super if offered, though more may be negotiated for exceptional candidates, along with many other benefits of working for a market leader. The role is on an 8:6 FIFO basis from Perth.

- Identifying & managing risk
- Collaborating across technical disciplines to identify/support priorities for the Resource Development delivery plan

- Liaison with the mine owner and supervision of contractor workforce
- Mentoring of Graduate and Junior Engineers.
