This prestigious and well known Nickel Mine in Western Australia has an opening for a Senior Mine Geologist, to run an underground geological team. The exciting operation is one of the highest grade nickel mines in the world, and is expanding quickly with the treatment plant being doubled in capacity in recent times and has a long life of mine expected.
As Senior Geologist your strong leadership skills will be used to drive your team to optimise extraction of high grade ore, reporting directly to the underground manager and liaising closely with the Geology Manager. This site has a number of varying zones of mineralisation, and extensive expansion plans at depth and a LOM extending to 2017 at present. This site uses Datamine for their underground design and scheduling so an understanding of this software package is essential.
You will bring a Tertiary Qualification in Geology along with vast experience, and excellent organisational and leadership qualities. You will have the drive and willingness to succeed, and will be rewarded with a competitive salary package, and the opportunity to join this leading Nickel producer in this exciting time of expansion.
