Job Description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Chief Construction Officer, Offshore Fleet, based in Baku Azerbaijan
Responsibilities include:
Schedule construction projects in logical steps and budget time required meeting deadlines.
Determine labour requirements and necessary workers/specialists to construction sites.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other local and international regulations.
Participate in contracts negotiations, revisions, changes to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Obtaining all necessary pre-construction permits and licences together with other related statutory departments and offices.
Select, contract and oversee workers who complete specific phases of the project.
Prepare and submit weekly progress reports and cost tracking reports from construction site/s to the company management and clients.
Develop and implement quality control programmes.
Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site/s.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
Plan, organise and direct activities concerned with the construction, upgrade and conversions of fleet, facilities and systems.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost effectiveness of plans.
Periodic inspection of construction sites
Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in naval architecture or marine engineering.
Significant experience in offshore fleet construction projects.
