Liebherr are looking for a stand out Project Manager to manage one of our major contracts with a local mine site in the Hunter Valley. This role will form an integral part of our operations, managing a large and growing contract with our customer and will serve as the primary interface between Liebherr and the client. The Project Manager will be responsible for both electric drive truck and excavator contracts for a large fleet in excess of 50 pieces of Liebherr machinery on site.
It is essential that you have experience managing maintenance of trucks and excavators across a variety of functions including planned maintenance, breakdown work, parts management, maintenance planning & scheduling, warranty and product support. Whilst Liebherr machinery experience is preferred it is not essential and the successful applicant may even come from backgrounds in other open cut commodities in addition to black coal.
The Project Manager will use their business acumen to ensure commitment to the details of the contract and to ensure key KPI’s of the contract are delivered. You will need commercial sensitivity around your approach to managing the project and to ensure positive outcomes for both Liebherr and the client.
Imperative to the success of this project is the working relationship between Liebherr and the client. The successful candidate will display superior customer relations skills to ensure the continued positive relationship between Liebherr and the client is not only maintained but improved. Your customer focused approach will ensure challenges are overcome in a professional and timely manner on behalf of the client and that communication channels are open and proactive.
Your team will include tradespersons, storeman, administration officers, planners and product support representatives. Your leadership style will encourage excellence and maximum productivity from this team and you will strive to coach and up-skill your team to aid with achievement of our objectives.
The successful candidate could be a current OEM Project / Contracts Manager or a current Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent from an open cut environment with a proven history in managing maintenance of trucks and excavators.
