G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities. To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:
MINE GEOLOGIST (MG 0456)

This position will be based at the Martabe Project and reports directly to the Senior Mine Geologist. This position role is responsible in providing advice and expertise in the geological aspects of development and production in a gold-silver mining environment. Also, in helping to assure the quality of the mineralised rocks extracted, as well as ensuring the safety in the ore extracting process. Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Tertiary qualified in Geology.
2. A good understanding gold-silver mineralogy will be well regarded.
3. Good communication and reporting in English.
4. Good technical report writing skills.
5. Driver”s license.
6. Have between 3 – 5 years experience in hard rock mining and / or mineral exploration.
7. Drilling program design.
8. Geological ore definition.
9. Experience in Pit mapping and sampling programs.
10. Willing to work hard in the field job and interested in ongoing training programs.
11. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Grade Control / Mining software packages; experiences in Surpac will be well regarded.
