Stellar Recruitment is currently partnered with a world leading producer of base metals with multiple operations throughout the country. This new O/C project is large by international standards and is based in a challenging and unique environment.
As the Mobile Maintenance Superintendentyou will be responsible for around 38 direct reports across multiple departments. Key accountabilities include directing safety, health and environment procedures and processes in addition to developing a strong team and leadership structure. Your significant maintenance background experience will be called upon to plan and coordinate maintenance activities, develop continuous improvement measures, and supervise foreman and contractors whilst reporting on and maintaining a significant maintenance budget.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will need to have:
- Bachelor Degree and other professional qualifications in reliability engineering
- Over 20 years’ experience in O/C mining with 5 years’ experience working at the maintenance superintendent level or above.
- Excellent knowledge of large mining equipment e.g. Haul Trucks and Excavators
- Proven leadership abilities, conflict management, communication skills and experience leading a large maintenance team
- Knowledge of CMMS software such as SAP, Ellipse, Pronto and fleet management systems
This is a demanding role in a challenging environment and it will suit those who have worked in O/S residential roles in cold climates before. The salary package is up for negotiation and it is expected that an extremely attractive offer will be made to the right candidate.
