Our client is a reputable ASX listed company operating an open pit gold mine in Indonesia. They are currently seeking an experienced mining professional to assume the responsibilities ofSenior Mining Engineer.
Reporting to the Mining Manager, the key attributes sought are:
- Teritary qualifications in Mining Engineering with significant experience in small to medium scale open pit metalliferous mining
- Strong operational and practical experience combined with excellent mine planning skills and proficiency with mining software
- Results oriented and committed to a structured approach to managing operational cash flows
- Focused and proven leadership with the ability to assume the responsibilities of Technical Services Superintendent as required
- Demonstrated skills in mentoring and coaching junior team members
- Excellent understanding of drill and blast requirements and wall control
- Committed to OH&S practices
- Culturally sensitive to nuances of working within Indonesia
- Indonesian experience an asset but not essential.
