Senior Mine Engineer
Multinational mining outfit is looking for experienced senior mine engineers to join their Central Asia operation. This is an open pit base metal operation.
The Role:
•Provide technical expertise, guidance and leadership to local and Expat staff
•Excel in engineering design, sound engineering standards and practices, broader mine designs, safety regulations and standards, equipment specifications and tolerances, productivity rates, cost analyses and mine development project benchmarks
•Compile, review and submit technical reports both internally and to the client
•Interpret work orders or blueprints. Inspect products and determine if they meet standards
•Mark items for acceptance or rejection. Discusses with staff about inspection results and suggest ways to fix problems
•Prepare test and inspection reports
•Independently interpret plans, specifications and survey notes and apply to the field
•Maintain accurate records, files and documentation and prepare technical reports
Requirements:
•20 years of experience on large open pit mining operations
•Bachelors (B.Sc.) degree from a recognized college or university
•Registration as a Professional Engineer in your country of residence / or equivalent
•Minimum 10 years practical experience in open pit copper mining operations
•Strong organization skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
•Must work well in a multicultural environment
