Position Overview

Rovi Senior Technical Account Manager (Senior TAM) must have precise knowledge of the Rovi solutions from a design and functional perspective, as well as a thorough understanding of the business benefits each of the solutions offer. The TAM needs to be able to communicate this information clearly and concisely to customers and prospects, in which to assure the sale of the solutions. The TAM must also possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate to a wide range of technical individuals, including managers and executives within customer environments. Working side-by-side with prospective and existing customers, the TAMs play a key role in the selection, purchase, installation and maintenance of the Rovi solutions.

Based in Seoul

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide support to Sales with technical and business domain expertise

  • Work with Rovi sales first-tier partner support, certification center, product management, business development, sales, and engineering team to resolve partner issues.

  • Provide support in the discovering and managing customer expectations and requirements, the qualifying and offering processes, the elaborating of ad-hoc solutions,

  • Contribute to growing the revenue of Professional Services in the selling of Rovi solutions

  • Liaise with main internal and external stakeholders including customer, program management and delivery teams on project and maintenance issues: customization, schedule, priorities, delivery, bugs resolution and QA

  • Coordinate with Product Management to ingest and understand customer feature requests; communicate status of requests to customer

  • Coordinate trials of new features and upgrades and ongoing deployments

  • Maintain up-to-date sales collaterals and presentation materials

  • Deliver presentations /demonstrations highlighting the benefits, key features and functions across assigned solution sets

  • Present the Rovi technical vision and strategy coherently and consistently across assigned product lines to a technical and business audience

  • Maintain in-depth product/solutions knowledge of market trends in aligned technology including understanding of competition

  • Maintain an understanding of key industry trends and competitors in assigned technology area

  • Maintain long-lasting relationship with customer technical teams

  • Be an active team player sharing the company's vision and values, and committed to the continuous improvement of the team's expertise and skills

  • Travel required (domestic & international) ~ 30 %
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Professional:


  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in the CE industry with a focus on Digital Video.

  • Knowledge of  MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Digital Rights Management (DRM), video compression, MP3 (or other) audio codec, and general multimedia technologies is desired

  • Exceptional market knowledge, particularly as it pertains to the consumer electronics technology licensing business is a plus

  • Technical engineering background in embedded software development, software consulting services

  • Excellent presentation skills (planned and ad-hoc)

  • Ability to navigate and manage technical issues within a customer account

  • Ability to relate to customer issues and capable of applying solutions to meet the needs of customer specific requirements

  • Excellent writing skills, with previous experience creating technical proposals

  • Strong customer communications skills, written, oral and face-to-face

  • FAE experience directly working with customer’s engineering group is a plus.

  • Mother tongue: Korean

  • Fluent English both written and verbal
