This role is reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and is responsible for developing geotechnical management systems, developing geotechnical models, conducting geotechnical investigation programs, provide geotechnical advice to technical, operational and management teams. Other duties and responsibilities include:
You will be a qualified mining professional with extensive experience in open pit mining operations. You will have worked on mine sites as a Geotechnical Engineer previously and be familiar with relevant computer software packages. It is essential that you are a solid communicator and can liaise with people at all levels.
This is a permanent position with an international mining house at one of their most respected operations. This position will provide great professional challenges and will really help you to establish yourself as a leading geotechnical expert within the mining sector. This role is offered on a FIFO basis.

- Monitoring pit wall stability and slope monitoring
- Collecting and interpreting geotechnical data
- Drill & blast design review
- Pit wall blast performance review
- Structural mapping
- Water monitoring
