Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL’s Manufacturing/Metals Market Sector Leader Careers – Chicago, Ill or any US location

The challenge? Help save and protect the one and only Earth we have. Our Manufacturing/Metals Market Leader career contributes to the worldwide growth of CH2M HILL’s business in the Environmental sector of the Manufacturing, Metals, and Transportation industries. Each day, you will identify potential clients and new opportunities in site investigation through cleanup, compliance, ecosystems, permitting and/or site assessments. You should be a self-motivated environmental consulting executive with a 20+ year work history of technical credibility, held in high esteem with current customers and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental business development project.

Our Manufacturing/Metals Market Leaders:



  • Oversee, shape and direct the growth of our Environmental business through directing, guiding and coaching Account Managers and their teams toward achieving growth

  • Directs, leads, and/or anticipates as team member in account strategies, client engagements, and tactics development to help business growth potential

  • Participate with Account Manager in contract negotiation planning and execution to ensure business elements are addressed and cross functional support and Account Manager working as a team

  • Maintain and update strategic plan for growing our environmental Manufacturing/Metals business

  • Keep abreast of overall business trends within the environmental market and competitor information, both national and international

  • Lead, coach, review, and evaluate Capture Managers, plans, and progress associated with our environmental business; Serve as a Capture Manager of top pursuits for growth

  • Responsible for budget management overall client development, sales, and marketing activities.

  • Review, assess, guide, and manage portfolio of sales efforts to ensure progress being made and drive progress and improvements

  • Identify and attract staff to the sector through hiring and career development

  • Coordinate with colleagues in other business units and geographies to develop synergistic improvements and opportunities for the enterprise

  • Build, grow and maintain an active list of large and/or strategic new prospects that will ensure the continuous growth of the Environmental Group

  • Guide and Lead conference marketing, participation and client interface opportunities
  • Additional Information: This position can be located anywhere in the US.

    Basic Qualifications



    • Possess a B.S. Degree or above in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology, Soil Science or related degree.

    • Minimum 20 years of experience, primarily within the environmental field, including experience as a business development lead, account manager and/or program manager.

    • Proven track record of selling environmental consulting services.

    • Strong industry relationships in Manufacturing, Metals industries.
