The challenge? Helping our communities stay safely on the move. Our Transportation Aviation Engineer internship/co-op is your opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale commercial and military aviation projects worldwide. Each day, you will have the opportunity to learn aviation design skills on exciting projects.
Our Chicago office is seeking an intern/co-op to work on aviation engineering projects. In this position you will be exposed to a wide-range of aviation projects at General Aviation, Commercial Air Carrier and Military airports and airbases where you will have the opportunity to learn fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to complete your assigned tasks in a team environment. Under the mentorship of mid to senior level staff, you will have the opportunity to learn how to exercise judgment and make recommendations in problem solving and the development and creation of aviation plans and specifications for complex, multi-disciplined projects.
You should be a self-motivated individual working toward a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology. Experience working in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopak, and Inroads is preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills are important and you should be eager to work for a progressive company, within a team-oriented office environment and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each aviation engineering opportunity.
