Job Description
Software Engineer - ArchitectJuniper's Management and Virtualization Platform Group builds real-time, large-scale
systems that operate from single element management through the emerging space
of software defined networks. As an architect in this group, you will have the opportunity
to design and implement core platform components in the areas of object persistence,
big data, transaction management and graph-oriented data management. A key contributor
across small, agile software engineering teams, your work will be visible, valued and
core to Juniper's success in the rapidly evolving domain of network programmability.
Desired Skills & Experience
• Java (knowledge of Java 7 changes / features highly preferred)• 8+ years of J2EE Development experience
• Java Persistence API (JPA) 2.0
• Solid experience in J2EE Technologies (JSP, Servlets, EJB, WebServices)
• Solid command of OOD principles / Design patterns using Java/J2EE
• REST API design principles
• Experience designing and tuning large scale relational databases. MySQL experience is highly desired.
• Experience designing and tuning large scale NoSQL database such as Google Big Table, Casandra, Hbase, Hadoop, Memcached, etc.
• Experience working Hibernate and HornetQ
• Experience in a complex SOA architecture designing; with a focus on applications in Java/J2EE and related infrastructure components.
• Exposure to a wide range of technologies including enterprise application integration, database design and configuration, web applications, operating platforms, security and networking
• Able to rationalize all architectural / design decisions in an objective manner
• Good breadth of technical experience including: Messaging Middleware, Service Oriented Architectures, Web Services, XML, Java and Databases
• Strong communication, presentation, and advisory skills
• Experience solving performance and scale issues
• Experience in web and mobile UI design of complex workflows.
