Job Description
This role will require an individual to play an active role in driving Continuous Improvement activities relating to all aspects of the production process within the facility including Product Quality, Safety, Material Usage and Labour. The role will require a solid understanding of extrusion manufacturing techniques, coupled with a capability to deal with technical and process issues independently as they arise.

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a highly enthusiastic individual with a high level of mechanical and/or electrical aptitude looking to develop their technical capabilities to become an industry leader in this field.
Specifically, the successful candidate will require:

• TAFE qualifications or similar in a mechanical or electrical discipline
• Excellent demonstrable “hands on” capabilities within a technical field in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn
• The capability to work unaided and learn quickly
• The capability to fix and adjust complex process equipment in a pressurised environment
• A strong career focused attitude The ability to collate, analyse and interpret raw data to understand process trends and issues .
• A high level of aptitude in Microsoft Excel and Access

Knowledge of SCADA control systems and extrusion principles would be highly desirable.
