This current opportunity is in the REA’s Customer Systems team. We are a small team that develops and maintains systems that interact with our customers to manage, process and publish the data that powers our products and websites. The team works closely with the business to evolve existing products and deliver new ones using agile methodologies. The team prides itself on the collaborative DevOps approach of build, run and maintenance of solutions.
As a Site Performance and Availability Engineer you will be responsible for implementing key components of a variety of web products in a collaborative team environment. You will work within the agile delivery team with a focus on running high trafficked websites at scale.
Desired Skills & Experience
This is a hands-on role involving systems administration and some development. You will need to have at least 2 years of systems administration experience in a medium-large sized Linux environment and at least a year of commercial Web Site operations experience on a LAMP stack. You will also need to have thorough understanding and experience in the principles, procedures and practices regarding provisioning technologies, system redundancy, backup and recovery, monitoring and performance measurement.
