The Company

 

A leading Australian contract mining company with projects throughout Australia and in New Zealand, South East Asia and Africa has a new and exciting opportunity available for a Mining Engineer (Technical Services) to join their WA Operation based at their Perth Head Quarters.

 

This is a good opportunity to demonstrate your technical engineering abilities in the exciting world of contract mining. The successful applicant will get the chance to work on a variety of projects and a diverse range of commodities.

 

 

The Role

 

The position is based in the Perth Office with occasional travel to site as required. Duties will include:

 

• Providing Engineering input for tenders
• Technical and commercial support to existing contracts
• Research and application of business improvements
• Communicating technology and ideas across sites
• Data compilation and reporting of equipment and project KPI’s
• Providing occasional technical relief to sites
• Involvement in graduate mentoring programs

 

 

The Candidate

 

You will need to be a degree qualified Mining Engineer with experience in a surface mining environment; a background in coal would be advantageous.

 

Your computer skills must include advanced knowledge of Excel and ideally experience with Vulcan, Surpac or similar industry specific software.

 

Personally you will need to be highly organised and efficient with excellent communication skills and a passion foryour profession.
