Job Description

Based in Watertown, MA, we are a leading-edge enterprise software company that is developing an exciting new data storage / data manipulation app! The first version of our product is in beta with some of the most well-known research institutions in the world. Now that we have proven the concept and have enthusiastic clients partnering with us on features and functionality, we are seeking another senior person to join our team as we work on the productized version of this software.

We are offering a very generous compensation package, with a base salary that ranges between $100K - $150K, a wonderful benefits package, including medical/dental/vision, paid vacation, and a possibility for equity!

Requirements for this position:

- Expertise in Python
- UI programming with Javascript...Any experience with ExtJS or Jquery is a HUGE PLUS
- Database scaling experience...NoSQL would be very helpful
- Ability to implement queuing systems (rabbit, celery, zeroMQ)
- Experience with distributed computing (Hadoop, OpenStack)
- Knowledge of Search systems (Lucene) and Filesystems (OS level, cloud stores, permissions)
- Experience developing at least one product that has a loyal user base
- Full life cycle experience: Concept to creation, and even support

Responsibilities:
- Coding! This will be the majority of what you'll be doing.
- Help grow and lead our development team
- Application deployment, reliability, scaling on AWS and commodity hardware
- Design scalable and efficient data storage and retrieval systems
