Grant Thornton is a well-established and reputable international Advisory and Accounting firm. The business has an established and loyal client base and is looking to the future with goal of helping dynamic organisations achieve their growth strategies. Our busy Christchurch team has a variety of clients in both size and industry and offers you the opportunity to develop your career in a friendly team environment alongside supportive Partners.

In our Privately Held Business team, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and GST/FBT returns. You will also be supervising junior team members and have the ability to add value to our clients through consulting projects. This is a role where you can really make a difference – to the business, your team and the clients.

Desired Skills & Experience

To be successful you need to have:

  • NZ based experience in complex accounting issues for small to medium sized businesses within a professional CA environment
  • Sound knowledge of financial statement preparation for companies, trusts, sole traders and partnerships
  • Sound understanding of the Companies Act
  • Client focus with a commitment to exceed our clients’ expectations
  • CA qualification is preferred; however not a pre requisite for the right candidate.
