Job Description
- Provide technical knowledge and experience in the repair of all types of large AC and DC motors and generators
- Develop and implement service repair plans, goals and objectives for this product line
- Drive productivity, cycle reductions, service level, and six sigma initiatives
- Work productively in a team environment
- Provide technical and quoting support to motor and generator segment
- Improve quality assurance and drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements consistent with Parts and Repair Services processes and procedures
- Utilize the quality system to log shop issues and drive resolution
- Provide customers with pro-active motor and generator technical and problem solving support
- Work with and lead motor and generator work force to track and resolve EHS safety concerns
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the repair of motors and generators)
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience of craft labor
- Minimum of 5 years of Motor, Generator, Service Center, or Manufacturing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Union relations experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt (BB) trained and certified (GE Employees only)
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
- Kronos, COMPAS experience
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly motivated
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Results driven
- Ability to manage time and be self-directed
- Ability to influence others
- Demonstrated verbal, written and leadership skills are essential
- Able to thrive in a diverse cross-functional team environment
