Job Description

Due to continued success and organisational growth, an opportunity exists for a Principal Consultant to join the Perth team. This position will entail working in a customer-focused and high service-orientated team to proactively improve the reliability of our client’s critical assets.

  • Provide engineering technical expertise in routine or troubleshooting assignments
  • Measurements, analysis, investigation and report writing
  • Full lifecycle Project Management – ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Build and maintain key client relationships, develop business
  • Participate in commercial and business planning activities
  • Analyse business processes and procedures to identify and implement improvement opportunities

Desired Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
  • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10 to 15 years’ condition monitoring / rotating equipment experience in the Oil & Gas or Resources industry
  • Significant experience in condition monitoring, rotating equipment, and maintenance planning within an offshore and onshore environment
  • Experience with both online and offline condition monitoring systems and knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques. Knowledge of thermodynamics and performance testing would be highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of developing and implementing maintenance strategies. Knowledge of CMMS is desirable
  • High levels of commercial acumen with solid Project Management experience
  • Experience in leading teams, providing supervision and guidance in both technical and non-technical issues
  • A high regard for, and practice of, safety and health at all times
  • Ability and willingness to travel to various sites and locations
