Senior Underground Mine Surveyor - FIFO Perth

Reporting to the Underground Manager you will play a key role in the Surveying team for this base metals operation operation and be involved in all mine surveying activities.

This role will suit a proactive person with strong interpersonal and communication skills. To be successful here you will need to be a highly organised individual who both thrives in an autonomous position but also enjoys working within a positive team environment.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Review all activities and processes in the surveying department
• Plan and oversee the collection of underground spatial data
• Weekly departmental planning
• Approval of mining plans
• Meeting and developing survey targets
• Auditing field works/ staff appraisals
• Train and mentor staff

You will need:

• Grade 1 authorisation mine surveying certificate
• Experience in an underground hard rock operation
• A relevant degree qualification in Mine Surveying or Diploma of Engineering and Mine Surveying.
• Survey experience with tailings dams
• A thorough understanding of surveying and of survey geometry
• Leica survey equipment
• Surpac experience

Salaries for this role will be between $155,000 - $190,000 per annum however we will look at salaries outside this range candidate dependent
