Job Description
We are looking to recruit passionate and engaged QAs to deliver against the IT roadmap and strategy. The roles will each report to a Lead Engineer, working in mixed teams of Software and QA engineers.Wiggle’s team are enthusiastic developers who enjoy what we do. Amongst other practises, we use Pair Programming, TDD, BDD, Refactoring, and Continuous Integration, and actively review and tune our Agile process.
Your primary responsibilities will be
- Timely delivery of the IT strategy projects on or under budget to a high quality
- Collaborating, “Three Amigos” style (stakeholder, developer, tester) to identify business needs and gather user requirements in the feature format (preferably using Cucumber/Gherkin).
- BDD software development in Ruby, Java or C#
- Support and maintenance of testing frameworks for business applications
- Driving further acceptance and use of Agile, Open Source, and “clever” technology.
- These roles are responsible for the full SDLC of all software systems in the company.
Desired Skills & Experience
Your experience will include- Extensive commercial experience of Agile software development methodology (XP, Scrum, etc.)
- Forms of testing, including: Exploratory, Performance, Regression
- Extensive commercial experience of using Watir Webdriver or Selenium Webdriver
- Extensive commercial experience of more than one development language
- Commercial experience of RDBMS
- Testing of ecommerce systems
- Preferable experience with ecommerce subsystems: ERP, WMS, BI, MMS, etc.

- Be a proactive person who likes to get involved upfront before development starts to help tone the functionality requested
- Hands-on testing or Agile fanatic, able to demonstrate a real passion for quality assurance -- in and outside work -- rather than just talking about it
- Strong understanding of benefits and value of testing platforms
- Motivated and enthused by difficulty & challenge, coupled with a strong competitive nature to excel and be the best
More senior candidates may have some of the following
- Demonstrably driven and self-motivated in high-change environments
- Experience of mentoring and managing small teams of QA Engineers or involved in significant architectural testing decisions and change

We started out as Butlers Cycles, a small independent bike shop in Portsmouth that had been trading since 1920.
