The Role: You will form an integral part of Morningstar’s local data team and be primarily responsible for fund data collection. Internal communication within Morningstar both locally and internationally is required and the ability to provide quality support for data related queries and processes are vital.

Morningstar’s service focused consultative approach will provide you with indispensable quantitative, communication and client management skills which will serve as a foundation from which to build your Morningstar career.


Key Job Responsibilities

+ Provide the highest quality fund data to our institutional and advisor clients through the use of rigorous and systematic processes.
+ Managing projects, focused on enhancing our database - in order to meet changes in our industry and client’s needs.
+ Collaborate with Morningstar’s global data operations, sales and product teams to resolve client issues in a timely manner and actively support our rapidly growing local institutional and advisor client base.

Desired Skills & Experience

Requirements

+ Excellent communication skills.
+ A team player who has a hands on positive attitude combined with a curiosity for financial knowledge coupled with a consultative problem solving approach.
+ Work experience within the South African financial services industry in a data collection or analysis role within the Unit Trust environment is preferred.
+ A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
+ Excellent English skills are required; other languages skills are desirable.
