Weatherford Drilling International - Australia is currently going through a dynamic period and we are currently seekingCountry Manager to work across our Australasia drilling activities that encompass conventional & unconventional onshore drilling.

Located in Brendale, Queensland this role will oversee our drilling operations throughout Australasia. The role reports to the General Manager - Australasia, and will have a number of direct reports.

The Key Responsibilities for the Country Manager role will include:

• Actively “champion” the Weatherford safety culture across the drilling teams

• Proactively deliver a high quality ‘right first time’ approach to all activities

• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the business

• Client/Customer interaction including providing appropriate input to business development activities

• Planning wells, materials and operations

• Manage the activities of the drilling teams and superintendents to ensure alignment with business & client needs

• Management of Development and Skilling programs for Drilling staff

• Assisting in the identification of (and actioning) business development opportunities

• Display excellent technical understanding of rig systems including (but not limited to); well control, pumps, blow out preventers (BOP’s); Cyber-chair

As well as having significant, demonstrable experience in the above areas, ideally, you must have extensive operational and management experience of a variety of large Land Rigs (2000Hp or more) and will have gained this experience at a Regional or Country Management level. You will be flexible and able to adapt to a dynamic business environment, and will bring fresh perspectives that can make a genuine difference to the business.
