Process Minerals International (PMI) is part of the
Mineral Resources Group of Companies.
PMI is a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation which manages all facets of the processing, production, logistics, shipping, marketing and export of the resource.
PMI is an expert in bringing new mines into production and has a significant portfolio of strategically located projects, at various stages of development, to take advantage of existing infrastructure for haulage to the Utah Point multi-user facility at Port Hedland. PMI is the owner and operator of the Woodie Woodie Manganese Super Fines Operation and has successfully restructured its operations to also act as a service provider for the mining and provision of camp accommodation to Group operations.
Due to the acquisition of a new site at Spinifex Ridge, PMI now require a Mine Geologist who will play a pivotal role in providing technical support to the company’s operation.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, this position will be accountable for you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the geological, quality and grade control systems.
The position will be based on site, on an 8 and 6 roster.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage daily pit geology activities in conjunction with production and planning personnel.
  • Maintain and update geological model.
  • Pit mapping and ore mark ups.
  • Reconcile grade control data with block model predictions and ore processing sample results.
  • Actively supervise pit technicians.
  • Manage daily grade control processes.
  • Coordinate sampling data through the on-site laboratory.
  • Undertake geology project work as required.
  • Monthly reporting as required.
Essential Pre-requisites:
  • Tertiary level education in Geology
  • Minimum of 2 years mine geology experience
  • Strong computing ability
  • The ability to work independently
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A focus on safety and environmental practices
  • Displays a “can do attitude” and has a
    flexible approach to work to assist in meeting the goals of the company and the role itself.
  • Experience with Iron ore base metals(desirable)
