At present, we are working alongside a global Oil and Gas Operator to recruit a dedicated and suitably qualifiedOffshore HSE Advisor to provide additional client side HSE leadership and monitoring support to all drilling and operations activities offshore in accordance with relevant Safety regulations, policies,standards and best practices. This is an initial 6 month contract position with a view to extend; 2:2 hitch.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor and observe offshore crews at work, intervene and coach when unsafe acts or conditions are observed
- Communicate with Drilling Supervisor and HSE Coordinator onshore
- Liaise effectively with drilling contractor and third party contractors on the rig including Drilling Contractor’s HSE Coordinator offshore
- Undertake compliance inspections of drilling contractor HSE safety management system implementation and compliance with HSE Commitment Statement and Standards
- Assist in incident investigation, root cause analysis, reporting and administering;
- Assist in developing HSE plans, HSE bridging documents and incident management plans for drilling activities;
- Assist in developing Safety Case revision and monitor implementation;
- Monitor for HSE regulatory compliance measures on the rig as per the SC
- Assist with any NOPSEMA audits on the MODU;
- Monitor HSE risk and hazard management processes onboard the MODU;
- Monitor JSA, pre-tour HSE meetings, weekly HSE offshore meetings, etc. and report any non conformities and suggest / implement any improvements onboard;
- Monitor contractor’s HSE management;
- Monitor security arrangements onboard as requested;
- Monitor medical arrangements onboard as requested;
- Administer and provide drilling HSE statistics and reports to the HSE advisor onboard.
Applicant Requirements:
- Diploma as minimum HSE Qualification requirement
- Prior HSE experience within offshore drilling campaigns essential
- Valid TBOSEIT and MSIC required
- Certified TapRoot Incident Investigator or equivalent
- Demonstrable knowledge / past experience of:
- Due Diligence & Permitting,
- Risk Assessment and root cause analysis
- HSE Data Management and Reporting
