Senior Mine Geologist
This is a unique position for those who embarked on a geology career to see the best of what the world can offer. This is a residential position in a location some only dream of with a fantastic project and career progression mapped out.
With a well defined resource, our client is looking to bring on board a Senior Mine Geologist who can take them through feasibility and into production. You will be an expert in geology systems and have the ability to mentor and train junior geologists and nationals. Exposure to resource modelling and estimation would be highly advantageous in this position.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing Mine Geology Systems
- Supervise contractors and mentor mine geologists
- Ensure best practice is implemented for QAQC and Sampling
- Fulfil reporting requirements to relevant agencies and the board
- Produce geological models in SURPAC
- Create a sustainable and productive relationship with nationals
- Have a firm commitment to a safe work environment
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Geology
- 10Yrs Mine Geology experience with a focus on underground gold
- Experience in resource modelling
- Proven track record in international projects
- Demonstrated experience at a Senior level
- Some exposure to near mine exploration would be advantageous
- An interest in taking on a lifestyle focused role
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English
