NSW SHE Manager – Wetherill Park

Our Lightweights Systems division consisting of Gyprock Plasterboard, Cemintel Fibre Cement and Ceilector Ceiling Systems is a leader in providing lightweight and cost effective building solutions for both external and internal use.
Our Gyprock Trade Centre (GTC) network in NSW provides our customers access to the full range of Gyprock plasterboard and plaster products, as well as complementary products including Ceminitel and Bradford insulation and a wide range of tools and accessories.

Safety is a core value at CSR and is the cornerstone of our business – our NSW team is currently looking for a passionate SHE Manager to oversee the health and safety of our GTC sites across NSW – a total of 15 stores. In this autonomous position, you will spearhead safety and implement strategies to reduce incidents across the network as well as our Ceilector site in Blacktown. This position has state coverage and some travel will be required.
Your key responsibilities and objectives would be to:
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees and stakeholders;
  • Implementation, monitoring & review of our SH&E management system, activities and programs;
  • Provide SHE advice to GTC managers and other employee groups within Lightweight Systems;
  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training programmes
  • Return to work coordinator
  • Advise and assist with risk assessments, risk register and incident investigations
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Tertiary qualifications including (or working towards) Certificate IV in OH&S; Certificate in Return to Work Co-ordination. A Certificate IV in Assessment & Training is highly desirable;
  • Some experience within an SH&E environment preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment;
  • Strong administrative ability (MS Office and reporting);
  • Exceptional communication;
  • Understanding of SH&E legislation;
  • Ability to multitask and manage your time efficiently and;
  • Ability to influence and engage with people from all levels.
