Job Profile
The Senior Systems Engineer, working alone or within a project team, ensures the timely delivery of the agreed technical scope of supply and that it complies with all relevant quality and HSE regulations. He works closely with the Lead Engineer to meet this technical compliance. He may act as Lead Engineer for medium size projects. The project team may be drawn from both local and/or remote engineering centers.

Job Responsibilities
Interprets customer technical specifications and generates strategies for implementation in engineering. Assists customer in defining detailed application, system, and hardware requirements. May delegate tasks to team, evaluates and reviews all design and documentation, monitors team productivity.
All aspects of application engineering, including and not limited to:
• System specification, design, implementation and review for in-house and 3rd party supply
• Work package identification, estimation & planning
• Validation of system design and architecture, appreciation of the application software structure, verification of configuration specification.
Technical compliance to customers specification
Develops the software and all necessary documentation to meet requirements of the application specifications.
Provides technical leadership in application and customer acceptance tests. Defines the testing requirements and supervises the internal testing to the agreed procedures.
Participates in the technical transfer to the customer services operation and produces post shipment analysis on all technical aspects of the project.
Coordinates and/or participates in on-site engineering, start-up and application commissioning.
Consults with 3rd party vendors to define technical requirements and interface.
Prepares detailed hardware/software specifications on company products and develops detailed engineering estimates for potential projects. Performs front end risk analysis and mitigation.
Ensures consistency and reusability of project documentation and implementation.

Desired Skills & Experience

Technical Skills
Knowledge of control and automation (DCS, SIS) systems.
Indepth knowledge of Industrial Information Technology
Commissioning skills – Diagnostics and fault finding, logic testing.
Knowledge of industrial standards and regulations
General plant utilities and operations
Knowledge of Structured programming techniques.
Computer Languages: C ++, Java, VB scripts, XML, C#
Operating Systems: Windows based
Databases: good knowledge of database technology (MySQL, MS SQLServer, Oracle, Informix)
Network Security, familiarity with best practice in information security

Education and qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
Fleunt German/English Speaker
