Technical Evangelist - Infrastructure
Purpose:
A Technical Evangelist influences & motivate IT Pros to support the Microsoft platform consisting of Windows, Windows Server, Virtualization and Cloud solutions. A Technical Evangelist is the thought leader and Subject Matter Expert for these technologies in the subsidiary, and for customers and partners. Their core role will focus on helping IT Pros from Enterprise, ISV/CSV partners, students, and start-ups to understand the technical strategies, competitive differentiation, and core value propositions of Microsoft’s core platform technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with technical audiences through presence and active participation at Microsoft and third-party events
- Work with key influencers in technical communities to educate and inform them on platform strategy and direction
- Amplify key technical aspects of product messages and announcements through modern communication channels (e.g. blogs, social media etc.)
- Build and deliver compelling application demos, technical content, and presentations for Microsoft online assets and third-party events Create showcase applications, design wins, and keynote demos that demonstrate the value of the Microsoft platform
Experiences Required:
- Previously completed 2 to 3 major projects from concept, architecture to implementation.
- Experience with Windows Server, & competitive technologies
- Experience working/leading interdisciplinary teams
- Keen analytical skills that enable comprehension and resolution of complex business and technical issues.
- Have a strong passion for technology and future platform thought leadership with specific interests in Client, Web and/or Cloud based computing.
- Strong interest and ability to engage both small and large technical audience through public presentations/speaking.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or other technology-driven discipline
- Microsoft certifications (MCT, MCSE, etc.) and/or VMware VCP a plus
- Basic project management skills are needed and used on a daily basis
