Directional Driller Job Number: (1308397) Location Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia Position Directional Driller Employment Status Full Time Regular About this job Baker Hughes Incorporated (BHI) offers the opportunity as an experienced Directional Driller to be part of the Drilling Services team in Malaysia Key responsibilities / accountabilities Under minimal supervision provides direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day-to-day well site work and activities Provides advice and direction to external customer and third-party well site colleagues as appropriate Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line's tools and/or services. Acts as a project leader and mentors junior field engineers Maintains frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism Works in a challenging Directional Systems environment and provides complex solutions to the customer Executes other related duties as assigned. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values Work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor (where appropriate), local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met. Preferred qualification / requirements Two year technical degree preferred. Industry experience and product line training required Proficiency in the skills profile required for the delivery of Directional Systems services at the well site Successful completion of additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs Strong communication and inter-personal skills; excellent customer awareness Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, be a strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability Minimum 5 years of related experience in drilling industry Company Overview Baker Hughes is a leading supplier of oilfield services, products, technology and systems to the worldwide oil and natural gas industry.
