Job Description

Santos is currently seeking an experienced Scheduler to add value in our upstream appraisal and development project services team on the GLNG project. This role will report to the Lead Scheduler and will be based in Brisbane. You will be responsible for scheduling activities across the upstream project covering appraisal and concept development as part of our gas supply plan. You will be required to coordinate with the overall project integration schedule and other upstream scheduling personnel.

Key to your position will be your ability to provide Project Management with early warning intelligence and visibility on schedule deviations to allow timely intervention and corrective action.

The current scope of work involves large field developments and surface facility infrastructure incorporating drilling and well head facilities, civil infrastructure, water treatment, and compressor stations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Implementing and maintaining project scheduling systems and standard practices required to effectively control the overall project schedule;
  • Identification of schedule critical activities and contribution to the development of plans to mitigate impact of schedule delays.
  • Assist in the preparation of project schedules and reports covering short, medium and long term for the entire project and area sub project, specific functions and critical interfaces;
  • Scheduling input into regular and ad-hoc project reports; and
  • Working closely with the Santos GLNG team and contractor teams to ensure project schedule status and forecasts are accurately recorded.
  • Work in an integrated planning and cost environment within the Project to optimise the use of available resources to complete work plan scopes within budget and time constraints.

  • 5 years experience working in a similar role on major oil and gas projects (LNG, offshore and onshore)
  • Demonstrated experience with integrated planning, risk analysis and scheduling systems
  • Demonstrated experience in project scheduling across a major multidiscipline development project.
  • Experience in LNG or major gas processing facility development an advantage.
You will have prior experience in large scale project planning and scheduling. Experience in the upstream oil and gas industry is essential and exposure to multiple phases of project development in planning/scheduling will be highly regarded. You will also hold some form of qualifications in an Engineering or Construction discipline or a Trade
