Job Description

This role is based at the Lake Vermont Coal Project, 2.5 hours from Mackay where Thiess is responsible for total mine operation, mine planning, coal processing and train load-out. As a self-motivated and confident individual, you will make the difference by delivering effective CHPP supervision and maintenance requirements at the Lake Vermont site.

Your main responsibility is to create a safe, productive and cost effective environment in consultation with all site personnel. You will effectively plan and coordinate all site electrical maintenance activities. Supervising a small team, you will ensure all electrical maintenance is compliant with relevant legislation and Thiess systems to achieve agreed benchmark levels of safety, cost, availability and productivity. You will be required to plan and resource medium and long term electrical maintenance activities.

We are looking for an experienced supervisor who is looking to be part of our mining operation and work in an environment where they are respected and encouraged to be the best. You will have a strong knowledge of sound maintenance practices and the coal preparation process. You will possess an Electrical Engineering or trade equivalent qualification, have solid experience in electrical maintenance planning and be committed to high safety, health and environmental standards as well as excellent cost management skills..
