The Orica site at Yarwun comprises two major complexes being one of the world's largest Industrial Grade Ammonium Nitrate Complex and the Sodium Cyanide Plant. The Role

Reporting to the Manager - Maintenance, the Reliability Superintendent will be a self-driven change agent who guides and directs the overall reliability function at Yarwun. The reliability function aims to provide continuous improvement and understanding of the performance of plant assets through all phases of the equipment life cycle.

The purpose of this role is to define, implement and promote systems and standards that maximise equipment effectiveness and availability. The incumbent will also lead a team of specialists and will be driving preventive and predictive maintenance improvements. Key activities for this position include leading maintenance practices that will focus on reaching operational excellence, and enhancing Orica's maintenance capabilities to deliver improved equipment reliability, decreasing repair and maintenance costs.

The Criteria

The successful candidate will have ideally completed tertiary in a relevant engineering discipline; you will be looking to take the next step into a management level position and possess thorough technical knowledge and engineering experience with plant reliability function. Although not a pre-requisite a background in the power, petro chemical or gas plants would be highly regarded.

You will be someone who is well developed in Root Cause Analysis, adept in problem solving & have the demonstrated ability to make quality decisions. Experience across hazard identification and analysis would be well regarded as well as the experience in safety management. You will be results focused leader with the ability to motivate the people around you to deliver a high quality service to the site.
