NVIDIA�s cellular wireless group is looking for a Baseband Hardware Engineer to expand its team in Bristol.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of digital sections of Evaluation Platforms and Reference Designs for NVIDIA�s cellular modem chipsets, through data sheet analysis, component selection, schematic capture, layout guideline definition, PCB level test and debug.
- Analysis of performance, current consumption, evaluation of system components, such as memories, power supplies, audio, interface devices, USB, battery systems.
- Supporting other teams within NVIDIA who are implementing our cellular modem
- Customer Support

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A good degree from a leading University in an engineering or computer science related discipline
- Demonstrable experience working in core development of digital hardware systems
- Experience of developing complex SOC based products
- Experience of low power DDR, NAND/NOR FLASH memory systems
- Experience of developing low power products, efficient power architectures and using DCDCs
- Power consumption measurement and optimisation
- Knowledge of USB interface design and test
- PCB Design Tools, schematic entry, PCB simulation etc
- PCB design and layout rules for high speed design
- Board level integration and test
- Use of real-time embedded debug tools
- Use of oscilloscope, logic analyser and digital signal generator tools
- Knowledge of low level software driver debug
- Knowledge of mobile phone hardware an advantage
- Experience in the mobile industry preferred, but not essential
- Customer support experience
